Alawathugoda Saman Devalaya is an ancient Devalaya situated in Alawatugoda, Sri Lanka. The shrine is dedicated to the Sinhalese deity Saman and is considered the country's 3rd most important Saman Devalaya.

Dedicated to Saman the god of Sri Pada(Adam’s Peak) this devale goes back to a remote period. The shrine itself is small and windowless. Within are two wooden presses one containing a figure of Saman and the other Visnu. The devale stands on a mass of bare granite which rises a few feet above the surrounding land. Close to the devale was a viharaya, which was burnt down by British soldiers.Alawatugoda Devale during the Kadyan period was a place of sancity whither litigants went to swear an oath or to undergo ordeals. The devale conducts an Esala Perahera annually.From Alawatugoda we come to Hedeniya junction on the Kurunegala Galagedara road to an old Viharaya.

The Alawatugoda Saman Devale Premises and its Ancient Buildings and other Archaeological remains situated within the limits of Alawatugoda Grama Niladhari Division in the Akurana Divisional Secretary’s Division in the Kandy District in the Central Province The site was designated as an Archaeological Protected Monument by Government Gazette notification. No: 1597 published on 8 April 2009.
