Suduhumpola-vihara

This Vihara can be reached by travelling along Suduhumpola Mawata linked to Kandy-Peradeniya road at Katukele within Kandy city. Three-quarters of the village of Suduhumpola belong to this Vihara. The original construction had been done in 1771 at the request of King Kirti Sri Rajasinha by Munwatte Rajakaruna Wijewardena Navaratna Wasala Mudiyansé Ralahami. The Vihara had been donated to Ven. The pupillary succession of that monk owns Kaduwela Nagasena and. There is a seated Buddha image in the virasana posture depicting the Dhyana Mudra. There are several paintings of the Kandyan period drawn as murals. The Samantakita mountain is 4a prominent painting. Sufficient attention has been paid to follow the scales. Red lines are very conspicuous.
