The get to this Vihara you need to travel 5 km on the Kegalle Polgahawela road and at the Devalagama junction, take the Pusalla road, then proceed about 3.5 km to reach the Yatidola Pahala Purana Rajamaha Viharaya.

A staircase with 100 granite steps will take you up to the temple premises. This is a beautiful temple is situated under a rocky outcrop. The small Dagaba is inside the cave.

The image house is completed with statues of God Vishnu and two Lord Buddha. The cave walls are painted with Dahamsoda and Wessanthara Janaka stories.

According to Mr H.C.P Bell, the shrine was renovated on the instructions of Lewke Disave, and the statues were unevenly restored.
