Yatimahana Bululenagala Rajamaha Vihara

This Vihara can be reached by travelling 2 km along Ganewatte road at Randewela junction on the Mawanella-Rambukkana highway within the Mawanella division.

The cave temple accommodates a reclining Buddha image 18 cubits in length and four seated Buddha images. There are two bronze images, each weighing 15 kgs in the cave temple. The wall paintings' quality meticulously in the form of frames has earned a reputation for this Vihara is a veritable art gallery. Amongst the paintings are a flag of the sun and moon of the Hatara Korale, portraits of kings and nobles and the figure considered to be that of Welivita Sri Saranankara Thera.
