Kirioruwa Ambalama is a small ancient wayside rest made of brick and mortar hidden away, off Bandarawela and Attempitiya road. This Ambalama renovated in 2013. The Kirioruwa Ambalama was declared a protected monument by the department of archaeology in 2009. To reach the Ambalama, take the Attempitiya road from Bandarawela for 5 km, then take a right turn on to a small estate road up the hill it's signposted. The road leads to the Aislaby Estate Office. The Ambalama is located 1 km up this road.
