THE PLACE
Degaldoruwa Pitiye Devale is a shrine to Pitiye Deviyo, a guardian deity associated with the Dumbara region. It stands near the Degaldoruwa temple, better known, but is a distinct site with its own continuing ritual identity.
It remains an active place of worship. Visitors should treat it as such rather than as an architectural stop.
