THE PLACE
Dekinda Ella is a small waterfall in the Ihalakotte area, fed by springs from the Alagalla forest reserve. It is recorded at about six metres high — modest by the standards of the district's larger mountain falls — with water dropping into a shaded, rocky setting.
The approach and the flow both change with local weather.

Ask locally for the current path and avoid visiting during intense rain. Rocks may be slippery and the surrounding reserve should be left undisturbed.
