Ganewatta Purana Bodhimalu Tampita Viharaya Tampita Vihara (Temple on Pillars) is a unique type of image house found in some Buddhist temples in Sri Lanka. These buildings have a distinctive architectural design. In the 17th-19th century, these Tampita Viharas were a popular aspect of many Buddhist temples.

The Tampita Viharaya at the Ganewatta Purana Bodhimalu Viharaya belongs to the 19th century. Wooden steps at the entrance, and nine granite stumps supported the structure. Typically familiar with the Kandyan era. The roof is clad with flat clay tiles. The small mandapa sits in front of the Tampita Vihara.

The Vihara is located just before the Divulapitiya Junction. on the Negombo – Divulapitiya or Minuwangoda – Divulapitiya road in Gampaha district.
