Hatharaliyedda Sivurupitiya Tampita Viharaya

Sivurupitiya Tampita Viharaya stands within Bodhirukkarama Viharaya at Hatharaliyedda. The small raised image house rests on four short stone supports and is visually overshadowed by the larger preaching hall attached at its front. Architectural study places the two-tiered preaching hall in the late eighteenth century. A short wooden stair reaches the Tampita shrine, whose entrance has a Chandrawanka-style doorway. Partial paintings beside the door appear to be later work with European influence. Published information notes that the temple may not have a permanent resident monk.
