Hunnasgiriya Bambaragan Oya Waterfall Cluster

Bambaragan Oya below Hunnasgiriya breaks into at least seven falls along the Knuckles-fed stream, ranging from about 10 to 50 metres, before the water joins Galmal Oya. Locals call two of them Dehigolla Ella and Katahera Ella. One of the largest falls in the cluster is visible from the Mandaramnuwara–Hunnasgiriya road. A separate route turns onto the Dehigolla road for about two kilometres to a small bridge, then follows a water-diversion canal down to the base of the most prominent fall. None of the seven appear on the country's waterfall registry.

Local tradition places King Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe, the last king of Kandy, in two caves near the first fall during the British campaign against the kingdom — one cave said to have served as a private bathing spot for him and his family, the other still showing traces of wattle-and-daub walling from past habitation. This is oral tradition, not documented history.
