THE PLACE
Kolamunna Sri Sugatharamaya Purana Tampita Viharaya – කොළමුන්න ශ්රී සුගතාරාමය පුරාණ ටැම්පිට විහාරය
Sri Sugatharamaya Purana Viharaya also known as Kolamunna Purana Viharaya is an ancient Buddhist temple with a Tampita Viharaya belonging to the Kandyan era.
This Vihara is situated in Wariyapola, about 17 km from Narammala and 13 km off Wariyapola town. At Wariyapola, proceed to the Kurunegala road and travel 5.7 km until the Kalugamuwa Junction, then take the Wariyapola road for another 10 km until you see a signboard. This narrow road will take you to the Vihara in 1 Km.
The Tampita Viharaya is built with eight granite stumps laid in two rows. The wooden flight of steps is the entrance to the image house.
The approach is narrow except at the front. The half Height wall protects the path around the Image house. Wooden pillars support the roof and are clad with flat clay tiles—typical of roofs built during the Kandyan kingdom.
This Tampita Viharaya was restored in 2009-2010.

About 17 km from Narammala and 13 km off Wariyapola town. At Wariyapola take the Kurunegala road 5.7 km to Kalugamuwa junction, then the Wariyapola road a further 10 km until a signboard; a narrow road brings you the last kilometre.
