THE PLACE

Meddegama Rajamaha Viharaya is considered one of the most sacred and historical temples in the Gampaha district. with a two thousand year history, it is a very significant temple in the country. 


The Bo tree was planted by King Uththiya who ruled Sri Lanka about 2000 years ago. It is sed that King Walagamba has taken refuge in the caves during the siege of the invaders.
