THE PLACE
Poya Malu Viharaya forms part of the wider Malwatta monastic complex on the southern side of Kandy Lake. Published descriptions identify an old stupa and a two-storey image house with stone carving and traditional-style paintings. It remains a religious site within an active monastery.
