THE PLACE
Dombagammana Ambalama is a roadside shelter in Dombagammana village, near Pujapitiya. It is a compact square building, enclosed by a low wall, with a single open resting space beneath a four-sided tiled roof.
It survives as a plain example of the ambalama tradition, built to give travellers a place to pause along village routes.

The structure is small and stands within a local community. Park without blocking the road, avoid sitting or placing equipment on fragile surfaces, and leave the building and its surroundings undisturbed.
