Rajasinha Bodhi is a tree near central Kandy, kept as a place of Buddhist devotion. No reliably published source fixes when it was planted or ties it to a specific royal act, so that link cannot be stated as established fact.
What can be said is more modest: it stands, one living sacred tree among the many that make up the city's religious landscape.
