THE PLACE
Ran Avuda Mandapaya formed part of the Kandyan royal precinct, serving as an armory connected with the king's weapons, guards, and specialist craftsmen.
The building has been restored and opened as a museum near the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic. Its displays of royal weapons and regalia offer a focused look at the military and ceremonial organisation of the Kandyan court.
