THE PLACE
The Ampitiya campus began as the Papal Seminary, inaugurated in 1893 after the site was selected in 1890. Its main building was completed in 1899. When the Papal Seminary moved to Poona, the property became the National Seminary of Our Lady of Lanka in 1955 and continues to train Catholic clergy in a commanding hillside setting above the Dumbara Valley.
