The village calls it Little Sri Pada, because there is a footprint carved into the rock on top.

THE PLACE
Waboda Purana Gallen Rajamaha Viharaya built during the King Walagamba (89-77 BC) is beautifully located in a small village in the district of Gampaha. The Locals call it the Gale Pansala (temple of the rock) they also call it ‘Punchi Sri Pada” due to the Buddhas footprint carved on the top of the stone.
