Wegala Ella Falls

Wegala Ella falls in the hill country east of Kandy, a modest cascade rather than a dramatic one. Published waterfall listings put its height at around fifteen metres, and the site is less developed than the region's better-known visitor spots; reliable accounts of the final approach on foot are hard to come by.

Water volume, visibility and ground conditions shift with recent rain. Best treated as a quiet stop to look at, not a place to plan a swim around.
