Yakgahapitiya Sirimalwatta Ambalama

Yakgahapitiya Sirimalwatta Ambalama stands near the junction leading to Sirimalwatta Rajamaha Viharaya on the road towards Degaldoruwa. It is a large brick-and-mortar wayside shelter set on a stone base. Four inner pillars and twelve outer pillars create a double arrangement around the seating area beneath the wide hipped roof. The floor has been finished in cement, but the building still clearly expresses its original purpose as a public resting place.
