Sri Lanka’s best beaches of Nilaveli, Passikudah and Uppuveli being the most popular boast a coastline that is described as ‘out of this world’, perfect for lovers of watersports. Internationally noted surfing spots at Arugam Bay. An abundance of marine life, with snorkelling and offshore whale watching, are all within proximity, as is the Kumana National Park, the cities of Batticaloa and Trincomalee that are located along with the Oceanside. Batticaloa Fort and Fort Frederick are both well worth re-visiting for their lovely beaches and rich cultural heritage.
