The beautiful beaches that surround the south of the island are part of the southern coast of Sri Lanka, ‘going down south’ has become a fond phrase that the tourists soon learn from the friendly people of this island. The beaches at Hikkaduwa and Unawatuna are particularly inviting.

The golden sands, shimmering water and beautiful waves along with watersports that include snorkelling and surfing make it a much sort after destination.
